Tividale 2-3 Hanley Town

One half is not Good Enough

Once again Tividale showed the good and the bad in themselves in one game here at The Beeches against second placed Hanley Town. They were behind in the 2nd minute when a Kyle Stubbs header was not dealt with and Finn Pattison had the easy task of rounding a stranded Kieran Harrison and fires home

Had it not been for Harrison it would have been 2-0 after 5 minutes when Max Van Der Laan pulled the ball back for Jake Twyford but the Tividale keeper pulled off a great save. On 28minutes Harrison pulled off another great save to deny Eden Bailey

Half Time:- Tividale 0-1 Hanley Town

Tividale were fortunate to go in only the one goal down after being under the pump for the whole half. This half had to be better but it could not have started any worse a Stubbs long throw was flicked on by Twyford and Bailey was there to stab the ball home.

Tividale immediately mad a double substitution bringing on Archie Kirti=on and Ezekiel Agyemang for Tom Rann and Kyle Byrne and it paid immediate dividends as a Brad Maslen-Jones corner was emphatically headed home by Kirton on 57 minutes, Tividale’s first effort on target. Then 3 minutes later jack Storer drilled a cross into the Hanley 6 yard box and Agyemang was on hand to turn the ball home for the equaliser.

Hanley were now the ones under the cosh and Tividale had a great chance to make the comeback complete in the 71st minute when an Agyemang cross found storer and his volley crashed off the cross bar.

Hanley went back ahead in the 86th minute when a Lewis Porter long throw fell to an unmarked Braydon Barlow who fired home and it turned out to be the winner in a game that Tividale made a contest of it after 55 minutes of Hanley dominance

Points Shared

After a 10 match break Tividale visited Castlecroft and faced the newly rebranded AFC Wolverhampton City.

AFC had the first decent chance when a Tom Poole effort was put wide. Tividale had their first of the early chances when Ezekiel Agyemang robs the defender plays the ball into Jack Storer, but AFC keeper Sam Arnold did well to cut down the angle and Storer fired wide

Both sides had their chances in the half but in the end it was Tividale who found the breakthrough and again it was the Agyemang /Storer partnership that provided it. The former winning a knockdown for the latter to lash the ball home

AFC had some great chances to go level when a A2 header beat tividale keeper Kieran  Harrison, hit the inside of the right post and rolled across the line before Brad Maslen-Jones cleared

Half Time:- AFC Wolverhampton City 0-1 Tividale

AFC equalised within 2 minutes of the restart after the visitors failed to clear their lines and Remiel Powell was on hand to fire pat Harrison. AFC were now piling on the pressure and Tividale were fortunate not to go behind but a mixture of  poor finishing and outstanding keeping kept it level

Tividale slowly grew in the half and Kyron Cooper was put through from a lovely Myles Durham ball but he couldn’t hit the target.

After a great run AFC’s LuqmanWirba tested  Harrison with a snap shot that he palmed away. There was some controversy in the last 5 minutes when Arnold takes down Brandon Mossini and is deemed to be last man. sent off a decision made by the referee after consulting the linesman. But it’s only a free kick given. a decision made by the referee after consulting the linesman and Tividale could do nothing with it.

And so it ended all square
