The FA registrations officially opened on 1st June 2023. And of course, clubs can announce the signings of players that have committed.

But clubs cannot register with the Midland Football League until 1st July 2023. And if as normal the FA take down the website for the usual few days on the 1st. It may well be up to a week later before they can actually be registered.

So yes, we will have players leave us, but we do have players retained and we also have some new signings, and our management team are talking to others.

So, as per previous season’s, until we register them with the MFL we do not see the point in announcing them.

Tividale FC held their annual club awards on Saturday 10th July. There was a lot of emotions and a few tears with The Gaffer Dave King having announced that he was stepping down after the 2022-23 season.

He and the new Gaffer Stuart How compered the ceremony. We all had to admit that it was not the best of season’s with the slight threat of relegation hanging over us. But an amazing April winning 5 league games on the bounce left us in a creditable 15th in the final table.

Managers Player and Top Goal scorer Awards of the Year went to Dan Smith who could not make it due to holiday’s

There were Special Thank You’s to Manager former Dave King and his back-room staff of Stuart How, karl Gardner, Wayne Shakespeare, paul Broughton, and Dan Hines and Lauren Holdenl. Also, to Anthony Dunne again for his superb photo’s over the season

Also, the Match day squad of Liz Harrison, Lisa King, Julie Gibson, Ted Wood, Mick Preston, Paul Boswell, Paul Knight, Phil Harvey, Steve Archer, Martin Jamieson, and Peter Dalley for their work throughout the season.

After much deliberation, we are delighted to announce that GK Coach Wayne Shakespeare will remain at the club for the 23/24 Season.

Wayne joined the club in 2021 and now goes in to his third season at the club!!
