In football there are times when you just don’t see a performance coming and this was one of them. As disappointing as our results have been, I don’t think Tividale have been guilty of a lack of effort, well not until this performance. As good a side as Highgate are, they will never get an easier 90 plus minutes run out than this one.

After the superb performance against Uttoxeter on Saturday. Tividale were looking to follow it up in another tough game away at Darlaston Town. Unfortunately it was not to be.

Just as you think we have turned the corner we come up with another disappointing result. Not a lot can be said regarding the manner of this latest defeat. Although we had the majority of the possession and huffed and puffed, we never really laid a glove on an opposition who plain and simple wanted it more than us.

Shifnal Town 3-3 Tividale

With our recent unpredictable performances. There was a sense of dread against one of the favourites for the league table. But typical of this Tividale at present, this performance was a case of chalk and cheese compared to the awful performance and result less than 72 hours previously.
