Tividale’s slump continued with another disappointing defeat, this time in the league cup and at the hands of high flying Highgate United.

Due to both club’s going out of the FA Vase in the previous round, both had a free Saturday and so this game was arranged, which was unusual for a cup fixture normally played in mid-week

With a major concern of the sudden drop in temperature in the late afternoon and the pitch beginning to freeze. A late inspection of the pitch was called for and the match referee deemed unplayable.

So tonight’s Birmingham County FA Senior Cup tie against Lye Town is off. We will advise as soon as a new date has been agreed
