Tividale 4-3 Coleshill Town
With the mixed bag of performances over the last few games a cup match against step 4 side Coleshill Town is not going to instil any confidence of a positive result in any Tividale fan.
But a team with a number of changes from the one that started in Saturday’s defeat came back from 3-1 down to move into the 2nd round.
Colehill started the brightest, but it was Tividale that struck first after 9 minutes when a James Douglas strike from the edge of the box beat Coleshill keeper Paul Hathaway all ends up. This stirred Coleshill into action and two minutes later the returning Tividale keeper Tim Beech had to field an Ashton De Moulder shot. a minute later and Hathaway had to turn a Ryan snape effort away for a corner. Back came the visitors and Ryan Nesbitt saw his shot just clear the Tividale bar.
On 23 minutes came the Coleshill equaliser. A Lewis Archer cross deflected off Kamol Campbell and landed nicely for Nesbitt who hooked the ball home. On the half hour Coleshill where in front. Left back Oscar Tower was allowed to run at the Tividale defence and Nesbitt took it off his toes and beats Beech with his shot.
Tividale had the last chance of the half as Edwards fired across Hathaway’s goal but also wide of his far post.

There then followed an amazing 7 minute spell of football from Tividale that brought them from 3-1 down to 4-3 up.
On 61 minutes Ewan Edwards was brought down in the Coleshill penalty area and Snape made no mistake from the spot. to make it 3-2. In the 64th minute a Taylor Townsend corner was powered home from the head of Zac Kourouyianni to level the scores. On 67 minutes Coleshill had a golden chance to go back into the lead after a poor Tividale clearance but Fitzgerald failed to cash in on the error and dragged his shot wide.
At the other end and a minute later, Tividale cashed in on the let off and went in front when Edwards received the ball on the edge of the box and drilled the ball past Hathaway and into the far corner with the keeper not moving.
