Uttoxeter Town 1-1 Tividale

After losing to Dudley Town in midweek, Phil Rann made just the two changes for this game against Uttoxeter Town. Back came Jordon Sangha and Luke Postle for Jamie Hunt and Taylor Homer.

It was the home side that started much the better and Lewis Dawson shot wide after just 3 minutes But they took the lead in the 15^th minute. The ball is worked out to the Uttoxeter right and wonderful cross from Matt Conlon finds Jack Hassall who heads home a diving header emphatically past Tividale keeper Ethan Hawkes.

Tividale slowly grew into the game and were fortunate not to draw level after 25 minutes when after some apprehension in the Uttoxeter defence Ezekiel Agyemang’s shot came back off the base of the post and was  scrambled away for a corner.

From the corner Tividale were level the Postle corner is met by Agyemang and he beats the Uttoxeter keeper Xander Parke at the near post. Tividale were now in charge and on the half hour another Postle corner was headed over by Jason Wood.

Agyemang then shot wide of Parke’s post on 37 minutes and Sangha saw his shot just clear the home crossbar to end the half..

 The home side as in the first period started the brighter and a Charlie Goldstraw defence splitting pass in the 56^th minute  into Charlie Ratcliffe deserved better as he put the ball over.

Tividale came storming back and an Agyemang cross just evaded Ethan Delaney on the hour. Delaney then cut inside and beat his man but shot straight at Parke.

Tividale’s best chance of the half came in the 68^th minute. Agyemang beat the Uttoxeter off side trap, unselfishly laid the ball off to sub Taylor Homer, but the youngster was closed down before he could get his shot off.

Spencer Whetton received the ball on the edge of the Tividale box on 79 minutes and smashes it towards goal but it’s just wide.

As the game moved into the last few minutes the game became really frantic. With both sides looking for the winner but they were both open to the counter and Joel Dyche committed two “take them for the team” fouls within a minute of each other and received his marching orders.

With literally the last kick of the game Sangha sent one whistling over Parke’s crossbar
