Hanley Town 2-1 Tividale

Tividale go down away from home

Tividale travelled to high flying Hanley Town in their latest fixture and on the overall display, and buoyed on by the new Tividale Ultras they will feel that they deserved something out of the game.

Tividale started the brighter and had an appeal for a penalty turned down in the 5th minute when Alfie Higgs was barged off the ball.% minutes later and it was Hanley looking for a penalty, again turned down

.
On 14 minutes Tividale did get a penalty when Liam Matthews was bought down in the box and Brad Maslen-Jones sends the keeper the wrong way. To put us ahaead

The lead lasted all of 4 minutes a Kyle Stubbs long throw causes havoc in the box the ball drops to Jake Twyford who gets to the ball after it ricochet;s and blasts it home with Tividale looking for a handball.

Hanley had a great chance when a Stubbs cross was met by a Tommy Van Der Laan header but it was comfortably saved by Jack Higgs.

With a number of first half stoppages, including a lengthy one that led to Wayne Mubayi having to be substituted in the 37th minute and also Hanley’s Eden Bailey going off in the 45th minute.

So there was going to be a fair amount of stoppage time and Hanley took the lead on 47 minutes a ball into the box by Jack Van Der Laan was flicked on by Joel Stair and Lewis Porter steered the ball home

Half Time:- Hanley Town 2–1 Tividale

A Maslen-Jones has shot from distance was the first chance of the half but it went well over and wide. .

The game then entered a bit of a lull with both teams cancelling each other out.

A great save from Jack Higgs on 77 minutes to deny Twyford keeps Tividale in the game. And 5 minutes later Higgs produced an even better one  when he saved a point blank Fin Pattison shot
