Tividale edge past Wulf’s in thriller
With Dan Bryson,Matt Hunt and Freddie Watts all available. Dave King was able to rest a couple of the players from Saturday’s impressive win against Highgate United for this cup game. So in came Dan and Freddie for Tyree Clarke and Jacob Barnes.
Tividale were ahead after 17 minutes when Darragh Bustin’s 30 yard free kick took a deflection and ended up in the bottom corner of AFC keeper Connor Hopkins bottom corner.
AFC had their chances but it was Tividale that shaded the first half and went into the break with the lead.

AFC started the better in the second half and the equaliser came in the 53 minute when a through ball from Angelo Franco picked out Jumaane Meggoe who slid it low past the keeper. Tividale were back in front 9 minutes later when Dan Smith was brought down in the penalty area and Luke Carter made no mistake from the spot.
With 15 minutes to go Smith gave Tividale a two goal advantage when after some great work from Brad Welding he fired home from the edge of the area.
With 8 minutes to go it was 3-2 to the visitors when Ben Jevons met Franco’s corner at the near post and powered his header past Louis Connor in the Tividale goal.
